M40 LS Beaded Q64 late war
Gday all,
It has been a good week for me, after weeks of waiting it seems the bottle neck has been cleared and i am getting lots of pressies!
Here is my new addition to my helmet family. A M40 with a cardbopard and prestof liner....the liner band is all cardboard.
LS decal is lovely, bit of surface rust on the lid, but hey, its honest and its mine!
Also got some West German beret badges and east german wall hangers, will post those seperately

Again, she's not perfect, but she is on the shelf looking good, and the paper liner is great!!
I'm not going to clean her up, just let her age gracefully!!!

Ha, now you mention it it does look like croc skin, you'd think that after living in Darwin for 10 years I'd have noticed!

Great helmet. Too bad about that big rust spot. Turn it to the right and they'll never notice. Lol

Yeh I got the "pretty" side facing out, but I don't mind her showing a bit of age

I have a beaded mdl 40 luftschutz with the same type of liner.
Nice helmet.
