M40 Luftwaffe Single Decal Helmet

This helmet is all original, has not been enhanced or modified in any way. It retains about 98% of the original dark blue-gray rough texture factory paint. Correct zinc galvanized steel banded m1931 liner is a size 59. The liner leather is in nice condition with virtually no wear. The original chinstrap is present and is in very good condition. The long end of the strap has been shortened a bit, which was a fairly common practice among the German soldiers. The Quist type 2nd pattern Luft eagle rates at about 95%, with a slight application errori n the swastika, with application errors being quite common in the Luft decal. This Luftwaffe helmet is a very desirable Q66, indicating manufacture by the firm of F.W. Quist in Esslingen, Germany. The lot number is T1483.
This is really a great helmet in a larger size too!

Can you post up a good sharp close-up of the eagle. I miss some of the typical Quist characteristics but it may be due to the fuzzy photos.

Good photos are important , decals are sadly faked a lot.
