Hi,

New helmet for my collection.

In hand this one looks real tough
...very far from mint, but I like the look.

Lots of dirt between linerband and shell - positive if you ask me.

Hi, it's certainly been used and heavily abused and quite refreshing to see a camo in this condition. In one of the pics it looks like the outline of a tri-shield (interesting on a m40)or is that just the way the paint is flaking off?

Black, good eye on the right side it does look as if there was a decal at one time.
I really like the looks of this helmet too.

Hi, it certainly appears to have had I National shield on there as there are some minute flecks of red left, but as scarce as that would be on an M40 if think this helmet is a good un-touched example. All of the wear looks natural to me and what's left of the white wash is not on top of any of the pitting. I like it personally. Leon.

You guys are quite right - certainly looks like remnants/outline of tricolour-decal.
...and as Leon points out - 2-3 spots of red.

Helmet looks better in hand.
