Still some original paint left on the chinstrap buckle. Liner dated 1943. Though it'd be nice to see someone's real one for a change. cheers, rick

We have had alot of bad or totally stripped helmets here recently and it's good to see a nice original one that has not been dismantled or repainted.

Thanks Guys, I too get tired of looking at the fakes. I think most people would feel better if they purchased a genuine example from a reputable dealer. IMO it's too risky these days spending your hard earned money on a possible bogus lid. But then again, the chase and the learning is half the fun.

Hi Gary, got that one last fall. I actually traded off my Polizei degan (pictured somewhere in this forum) to a nice gentleman in Australia to supply some of the funds for this. I have a DD Polizei beaded helmet coming in the mail right now. I'll post pics when it arrives. rick
