M40 Q66 ND rear stamp

I haven't bought a German helmet in awhile and I was looking for an M40 so I chose this nice ND Quist. I've seen a few threads about these rear stamped Q helmets in the last few weeks so I thought I'd add mine. It's a nice large size 66 with a neck stamp that looks like S2422. The textured paint and the liner are in good shape but it has no chin strap. All opinions and comments are welcome.

I wonder if you helmet guys can explain how the production numbers work. I just saw another M40 Q with the same number stamp for sale.

No expert but I believe it’s a lot number, there would be multiple helmets in a lot all with the same lot number. But again wait for the others.

Thanks, I was just wondering how rare or not it would be to have two helmets from the same lot. Always looking for a new angle in collecting.

I’m not sure how rare but I would say it isn’t an opportunity that would come up too often.
