It's my second german helmet, I acquired it few months ago from a german plastic modeler who lives in Brazil. I dont know the previous helmet history, but I believe it was another brazilian FEB veteran's souvenir from the italian front.

It was in a very poor rusted state when I buy it. I'm was very suprise when I cleaned it and discovered the large amount of original paint under the rust.

Unhapply only the shell survived, the entire liner is missing. The rivets are fake made only to display purpose. It had a strange damage at the rear brim.

Only a question:

I'm not expert in the german helmets prodution metods, but I feel a little more clear coat of painture under the interior paint.

Is it a primer coat or is it a reissued helmet?
