M40 SD with extra hooks

Can anyone tell me what the extra hooks are, was told they are for cammo.

Yeah, I would suspect something to that degree. That's a nice looking helmet, rare to find a full length long chinstrap like that, many soldiers cut theirs so the extra length wouldn't get in the way.

That would be my best guess too, as cgp1066 said, nice M40 Heer with full length chinstrap.
