Posting this for Anton67. M40 Single Decal Kriegsmarine helmet

Seller is asking $1000.

Anything that stands out as a concern? Per Anton, decal appears to be very gold in color in hand, i.e. not a toned Heer, but he'd like confirmation.

By looking at the pictures it look like you are at a yard sale, fea market I would not pay any more than 425-475. Marty

Nice but salty heer. Agree garage sale price should be in the $400 range. Can see a dealer asking $500+ range.

Toned Heer, and I would buy at £350 and sell @ £400, Not worth anymore than that IMO

Thanks guys. The seller insisted he had it checked out by an expert and it was a Navy lid.
The same guy was duped into buying a bunch of fake stuff from a closing museum.
That is why I was leery to begin with.
