M40 SD Luft - Q62 - DN161

Last week's acquisition. I was in Florida to see my son, and stumbled on a small militaria shop that had a pretty good selection of helmets at fairly decent prices. I was able to resist the first time I was there, but the car found its way back a few days later and this one was still there - and now it is here. It has rough textured combat paint on the shell, with smooth blue-gray split pins. The liner is a little dry, but complete, and has a few names on the leather. There is only a partial chin strap, but the piece in untouched, and over all in fairly good shape. Hope you like it. Jim G.

Is n't it a little unusual for the rivets to be of a different texture to the shell?

it's not unusual and you also can find a difference in the tone color
