    Hello All,

    Had this Norwegian M40(?) for a while, with some usual looking stamps:

    Q64

    Dn 82

    But then the below I hadn't seen before:

    "Sie" and " Siekmann" (the "a" is double stamped)

    Sorry if this is too obvious as a question, not really my field...

    That's interesting to see. I guess it was the owner's name, and he had access to some stamps. It wasn't added at the factory. Not something I have seen before.

    I agree - Personalised lettering by the owner , never seen it before (pimp my lid)
    Nice to see a Norge reissue in untouched condition.

    Great looking helmet , finding these Norwegian helmets in good order is getting hard. As the others have said , I would guess the original(german) owner had the impressions "hand stamped"(die and hammer) onto the shell as the paint from the Norwegian re-fit is on top of the markings. Leon.
