M40 Tropical & snow camo

Article about: It would be much appreciated to get some opinions on this, what looks to me like a M40. I will think it's from the South Russian front as there look to be some white wash on it as well. I am

    It would be much appreciated to get some opinions on this, what looks to me like a M40. I will think it's from the South Russian front as there look to be some white wash on it as well. I am quite sure the paint job is period WW2. Thank you for your time

    Really need better pictures.
    The white paint does not look like winter camo but like someone drop some paint.
    For the DAK camo can not tell with those pictures.

    I think you are right Chris. I did not notice until now that on the back of the helmet the white paint is actually on top of the sand paint

    I quite like the outside mate, the inside white I'm not sure about. It looks like an accident to me, and with the no paint on the liner perhaps that has been removed and put back in? Have you got this one in hand? I do think the outer camo has a good chance.

    No Andy. I have not had it in my hands. I also have a good feeling about the shell paint. Looking from a paint accident perspective, the liner should have been replaced at some point.

    Quite like this one Lars , this colour was use in Sourthern Russia and the Ukraine but aclose shot of the paint should help !!

    More pictures but like the brown camo,the white no good.
