M42 battle damaged

Article about: gday heres a m42 i got a few years ago, not sure if it was ground dug cannot see the maker but there is a lot number. as for the battle damage who knows? there is still traces of winter camm

    I dare say there is battlefield damage but i also think some enhanced with a pickaxe, whether that was done by digging it up or after ,no idea

    Dougs right many helmets that were lost on the battlefield were then used for target practice , zeroing , ranging etc.
