    Default M42 camo ? opinions

Hi guys. I'm not really a helmet collector, but this shell has surfaced and I would appreciate some opinions on it. It appears to have been laquered, which has me questioning the camo appearance of the paint. There are two stampings I can make out "64 " and "42".
    Look forward to your replies.

Thanks all for comments. I appreciate it.
One more quick question.......... Is there any way to determine the size of the helmet from the stamping numbers above ? I would maybe like to get a liner and chin strap for it some time in the future.
    Your help greatly appreciated

    Hi Brumbar !

You probably already know that original liners, straps and pins
can be found, which is the way you would want to go, I imagine.

Hope you show us the result when it's done ! !

"64" should be the size of the shell as indicated,
    so head size would be a 56 or 57, I think ......................

It might be expensive: ($300 or $400 ) but the helmet
would be that much better !

You should "antique" the split-pin heads as well to
match the overall colour of the helmet.
