Don't like the decal, paint, leather,.....my guess is a complete modern rework.
The pitting on the skirt in the last photo gives the game away.
Repainted relic - alright if it is advertised as such but not if it isn't.

to me it is a morden replica.
Hey guys, Its definitely not a replica or relic (I think you meant refurbishment) and has a patina very similar to my other helmets - may be a result of thin factory paint. With such a high lot no it could just be a very late war helmet. The liner is also unusual, definitely not a replica and a bit stiff. It also has a defect in that the leather runs thin for the last few inches on the size end - not what you would find in a replica. The aluminium pins that hold the liner to the band are also faded/oxidised not like the new ones. I'll take more detailed photos with a better camera tomorrow. Thanks
my first feeling was that it was refurbished, def the paint and decal, imo.
The decal is absolutely fake. The lot # is in the 5800 range, very late War, so the paint is bad. I don't like the liner or chin strap either. The shell is real, but in my opinion, the rest is post War.
Hi, the shell is original but re-worked with a fake decal. The liner looks like an original to me but this helmet has definitely been messed around with. Leon.
