M42 DD RAD - ET 66 - Lot # 1579

Today's arrival, a double decal RAD helmet, with a Heer Adler on the left and an RAD decal on the right. It has the number "40" on the rear of the skirt, probably a rack number. I was told that this comes from Bob Coleman's collection. A little rough, but complete. Hope you like it. Jim G.

You said it, the RAD divisions cobbled together in the last 2 months of the war got chewed up pretty badly. 7500 RD men combined with division remnants of badly mauled Heer units per RAD division. One RAD division even got turned over to the Soviets by the Americans at wars end. (2nd RAD Division I think it was). Nice photo presentation Jim.
