M42 dd review

Hi i have a german m42 helmet with a tricolor on one side the eagle on the onther side is scrapped of ,i am not worried if the m42 is Original he is the paint stamps and innerwork are ok the only thing is the decal .
I no normally there are no dd m42 helmets execpt polizei etc ,but you no with german uniforming not Always follow regulations.

The decal looks pretty good to me the helmet is stamped with cl a number i can,t read and 5435

The lot number is well into the "no decal" range. Not real decals on either side of it. Sorry. Jim G.

The chinstrap is stamped with R Larsen Berlin 1939

The colored shields were supposed to be removed in 1940 from what i remember. Also, Is it just me , or is there a ghost of a Swazi on the front?

I know but i have seen also a picture of a double decal helmet in use with the volkssturm strange thing thats why i am not sure if i remove te decal.

By 1944 or 1945 still not removed look als the other man a ww1 era helmet and a luftschutz helmet

how can you tell that is an m42?
edit: oh nevermind

No i can't tell but as you can see the regulations are just regulations nothing more , but it has the shape of a m42 not sure.
