    Not so sure about the strap (but I am not good with them), otherwise the rest of the piece is fine. Jim G.

    As Jim said the helmets a good one but IMO I think the straps a repro.

    I like this helmet and the chinstrap looks to me like a good original strap

    Hi, again I like the helmet, a nice un-messed with M42, but I to do not like the strap. It's wear is not matching to the helmet. Leon.

    A good looking M42 ND Heer OTT, I really like the paint on this one.
    90% of the time I am crap with straps, so won't comment on it.

    Alloy buckle on the chinstrap indicates an early war model so not the steel one of an M42.
    That said, it still looks ok from the photos but some closeups would help.

    Agree with Dan, it looks at best the strap is added.

    Good helmet. I agree better pictures of the chinstrap to determine real or reproduction either way it is not original to the helmet. Marty
