M42 Heer Helmet - Any thoughts are appreciated

Picked this one up today.
It is a M42 Heer.
It is marked hkp64 (Sächsische Emaillier facility) size 64 (Med).
Any thoughts on the decal and authenticity would be great.
The only negative is that it is missing the liner.

Mark, I do not see any problems with the decal It is a honest m42 helmet. I'm sorry to see the liner missing. Good find if the price was right.

A nice helmet... I too obtained an M42 shell last Sunday. This was also an hkp64, but with a much lower lot number and completely free of rust.

unusual to see the misplaced decal ( not centered under the vent ) but it can happen. As to the liner, it could have been blood stained and torn out ( I have seen a few like this )
