all the best,

Im just curious if a 1937 liner would be used in an m42 helmet. Will post pic if needed, its a normandy camo fully marked.
It's been replaced from the sounds of it. Could be depot, could be by another collector. Would like to see it and the liner pins if possible.
I've heard it's common to have 1937 liners on m40's but I'm not sure about the M42.

It's far from the norm on M40's and M42's.
No offense, new to collecting + normandy camo + M42 with 1937 dated liner does not paint a pretty picture for me. Could you post some good pictures of the helmet? Be sure to post a good close up of the decal is there is one on the helmet. The number one thing that you should be aware of as a new collector is that there are more fakes out there than originals and some of them are very good. Normandy camos, single decal SS helmets, chicken wire, etc. are the most heavily faked of these. Be very careful and read up before making any major purchases.
Let's see some pictures. Other than that, welcome to the forum, and welcome to the wonderful world of collecting militaria.
