I found this at a good price of $280. Is this a good price for this helmet. Is it original?

looks to be ok from these pics ,maybe postwar painted black, is it my eyes or is there a name or something scratched into it ? rgds Dave

There is a name... seller says so, but hard to see

liners good shells good, and rivets look tight, $280 is about what an undecaled 42 fetches

And it does look black, as already stated, a re paint at sometime
