I don't think I've ever seen such polarized opinions on one helmet before...........everything from a worthless repro to a mint former SS. Fascinating forum discussion.

Yes DougB, you are right but this is reisued, first was SS and than returned to the factory for repaint and new leather, and they leave decal under the layer of new color. White dots you see are not on the color, but they are small holes in the new color.

Without better photos or an in hand I would have to stand by my original opinion of this being a factory issue no decal or at best a removed SS decal. Interesting the lot number matches a known SS. It's a top helmet in every respect either way, my compliments.
