Yep back again,
Now i have just bought this Helmet from a dealer here who got it in from Germany.It seems like a good honest one with a wartime repaint and the liner has been removed possibly before it was meant to be scrapped from one of those captured lid piles.It also has the veterans name and number marked inside and the liner band and rivets have never been out of the shell. Size is CKL 62 and price was Aus$950.00:-)

Nice shell! Any chance at getting a closeup of the decal. Could be a toned Heer decal.

Hi Rob,
Thank's for the comment.Its definately not a toned Heer as it has gold flake in the decal. Can't get any closer with my camera but i have had toned Heer and still have one. Very different

Also Rob if you click on the photo and then enlarge it you will see the gold. It has been painted around with some extra paint too and they have gone slightly over some edges

Yeah maybe i should call the number It is gold Ade and the classic darker kind of decal too.I have another one that has lighter gold on an M35 which may have fadded but that one has gold mettalic in it also. My other one is just painted sea grey so maybe cammo using the ship paint for ground forces but still all good
