Found this "unissued" M42 helmet... dome stamp, liner band but not liner. Chin Strap is from wife's Thong. Thoughts?
The helmet is good , the photo of the chinstrap is too small to make something out of it.

Very nice lid even without the liner.
The thickness of the chinstrap, as well as the adjustment buckle, seem very reminiscent of the straps often seen on Luftschutz 'gladiator' helmets.

It can't be "unissued"...Has a thong installed on it. Unissued helmets had no thong
