Hi, I have been looking at this on and off but on the whole I think that the wear has maybe been artificially done using an electric buffer/polishing pad, then the helmet has been buried/aged to add the rust patina? It is pretty convincing so I may be wrong but I think this is one you would need to have in hand to inspect if you were going to buy it. Personally I would pass. Leon.
i agree..looks like designer scuffing, just too uniformed
Unfortunately I must concur with the others...I see no uniform wear around the brim, only what appears to be deliberate paint removal.

Why advertise your trade from all sides and then paint over it? I'm not entirely convinced.
