It looks okay to me... liner seems to be of the dyed red post-war reissued vasriety... the texture of the paint also seems post war to me. The larger size is a definite plus!
The liner looks to have been treated with a neutral polish or mink oil, etc.
and the left side of the rim has been bent. I imagine it may sell
for $400-$500ish.........

Steve.
Something strange about this one. I wonder if it's a pieced together lid. Might not be. Ring at the top suggests it sat in water for some time.
Hello I like it, I have quite the same.
Cheers,
Michel
I don't think the liner is original to the shell. Somehow there is rust in the dome, yet the liner is unaffected.

Odd that the liner has only 8 fingers for a 68. Needs a closer look but it's not unattractive.
I;m thinking its a factory textured helmet as the texturing is pretty uniform across the whole surface and interior, the liner may have been replaced at some time and it could even be a cleaned Norwegian, the only way to tell would be to see if the internal rim and edges of the leather still has a deeper red, there does appear to be rust in the dome which could be consistant with water damage, like most things on E-bay you take them on faith more often than not
if the liner was norwegian re dyed would you think the dye would have coverd the stiching on the finger as well
I'd ask for a shot of the split pins. It looks original, but the liner might have been a replacement. It looks like it sat upside down in some water for a long time.
