    Limited pictures............ but an ok toned Army decal, with some detail lost. It really depends on the price. The draw string is probably not original to the helmet,

    Thanks for your thoughts John. I think you're right about the drawstring. The liner is looking pretty frail too!

    Appears to be a good M-42 should be a maker lot no in back or side of rim sometimes they are lightly stamped. Nice one by me. timothy

    Thanks guys! In regards to the decal, what would make it lose it's detail like it has? Do you think someone has tried to clean it?

    Hi , as the guys have said this is an original M42 with an original decal. I would say that to me the decal looks as though it has been "touched up" with paint, especially in the areas of black. Leon.
