    Good EF navy with expected HJK "thin wing" navy decal. Many of this type are debatable as to whether Heer or Navy....this one is obvious.

    Although I don't have the experience of David, I would agree with him. Looks like a KM to me as well.

    Thanks guys, wish it still had the leather but only the steel band remains, now what is the deal with the swas on top? Vet art maybe

    One thing to look out for with the KM decals is a raised border on the adler - this was due to the construction of the decal. I've not handled one in person but i've seen this on other decals posted here and elsewhere and in books.

    Example of ET decal:
    M42 sd tone heer or km helmet with remains of painted swaz on top

    Your decal has a nice golden sparkle, and if David says it's a KM then it will be.

    Really nice helmet!

    The ET navy decal will show the ridge or outline surrounding the eagle & swaz. The HJK navy, it is rarely seen. Normally on an EF navy...it's the same as the one posted

    The HJK navy - this would have the raised outline ridge as well? I thought (maybe incorrectly) that all the KM decals had this?
