M42 Shell On Its Way To Me From Germany...

Hello Friends,
I managed to score this M42 Shell on Ebay.de just a little while ago at a price I couldn't refuse...
Any opinions concerning the paint...If it's original paint all the better, but even if it isn't I'm not complaining...Looks like a good candidate for Restoration...Seller is unable to read any stamps, so I'll have to find out when it arrives...

Hard to tell from the pictures but in looking it there appears to be paint over the scratches and pitting. So I say it's been repainted

Hi Glenn, the inside looks original to me, but I agree with Michael that the exterior has been re-painted. Leon.

A good shell but IMO both the inside and outside are repainted; in the same colour. There are some pretty good deals on eBay DE sometimes.

I was on the lookout for a decent M42 Shell to restore, and for 85 Euros it will look great on the shelf...
