Who is selling this for 300 euro? A true winter camo is going for at least 3 times that. Just ask Andy (KradSpam)
It is, none the less, an M42 Q.
And the rest mate, I'm still aching after that one lol.....
I did notice though that this is a Quist M42, worthy of note as they are very rare.
Jim beat me
I'd love a look at that linerband. Any chance of getting a shot of the date?
These need to be highly scrutinized , as you already know, they are heavily faked. Personally, I try to look at the high points, like the vents and rivets for wear ( the right rivet is the only hight point that looks worn) or around the rim of the skirt.. Also, does the rust look new? From here the rust has the orange color. Do the scratches look contrived or caused by wear? ( im not asking, just a few questions one needs to ask)Unless this didn't see much used in the field or was worn for a week and put away, then I'm not sure if it would look so nice still. Keep in mind I'm not making any judgement here, except for some little things I look for when seing these. And as already stated, it's a rare shell either way.

Inside of the shell is almost relic like yet some of the paint on the outside looks bright white and alot newer, especially the top and the brim where you would expect it to be the most worn areas, it looks post war painted and then artificially aged/scuffed up in places IMO. 99% of white camos are bad, all of this input is from what I have learned since being a member here, it may be a good restore piece for the price.
I Agree with Maximus, it looks like its been scuffed up and aged, usually the air vents and pins are alot more worn and around the rim
These snow cammo are a minefield I have seen not very many real ones it is easy to slop whitewash 20 years ago or more and age it I agree they need to be heavily checked and come from known source. Nice rare M-42 maker not seen very often. timothy
Hi , this is not one for me (unless you want the rare maker variation). The wear looks heavily contrived to me , very even in thickness , as though a tool has been used on it. They also run at the same angles , as I said , not a "cammo" I would persue. Leon.
