Metal dectecting - Mystery German Helmet

Article about: Does anyone know what helmet this is? Very strange in my opinion, however hopefully someone can help! Thanks William

    I would believe there should be some period photos of this helmet somewhere. I find it so special it must have been a bunker decoration, or a eccentric volunteers lid. Either way it is something everyone would have taken a photo of if they saw it in use, or on the wall.

    It will be interesting to see where it ends up. I sent an email some time ago asking if he wanted to sell it, but he didnt answered me back.
    Collect ROA, Cossack, Schuma and other WW2 Volunteer militaria.
