First off, this unfortunately is not mine & probably never will be. Some of you may have seen this elsewhere, some not.
I have been given permission by my friend who owns it to show it here. As I have always stated, I show helmets that are "Out there", not just what I have. After all, we are just "Temporary Custodians" of our possessions. Someday....who knows where this will end up ?

Anyway...it's an ET 66 all 1939 dated, Luft brown strap never even installed. But was issued with the helmet. Tie string has proper unissued factory knot still tied
I have never seen anything like it, truly remarkable.

    Hope you enjoy looking

Yes he is. I almost got myself in trouble year or so ago being a big shot & said " Name your price, my checkbook is open". Think you can guess the end result.

I can see why you can only handle this helmet with gloves!
You do wonder how on earth in eighty odd years a helmet like this was stored.
Truly amazing condition, never been on a head.

Damn David. I would be afraid to own something this nice.

Does your friend need a son?
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

I fear this one in many hands would be another "locked away" in a bank vault for fear of scum bag burglars, jealous ex- girl friends or even worse, little nippers inquisitive finger nails!! That said, I feel that way about some of my rust buckets! Leon.

What I like about all WW2 helmets is they always invoke your imagination as to what story they may have told back in the day.
In this case you can imagine the helmets being issued from stores and the new recruits somewhat green and nervous about what lies ahead of them.
