    Hello All:
This last summer I had a friend of mine attend an auction that had 2 "German helmets". Advertised.
He bought both of them for me for $50.00. I am not that in tune with helmets like I am firearms. One is a single decal and the other one, I really don't know. They both are not in great shape. I plan on leaving them as is. The steel helmet seems smaller than some I have seen. Any help would be great.
    Thanks,

The first looks like like an M35 Heer, a former double decal with the tri color being either removed or painted over, hard to tell from the pics. Rough interior but looks most likely original. That one alone is good for more than $50 so I say you got a good deal. Second helmet I can't help you with.

The second is a german fire helmet in really bad condition missing the front and back visors with no value.

Both have suffered from very poor storage conditions.
But from what I can tell, the Heer M35 looks legit, and well worth the $50 you paid for both.

+1, bargain just for the combat helmet.

Nice semi-relic helmet for $50 ! You might just be able to see
a maker/size stamp on the inside rim near the chinstrap
    rings - It's likely a size '62'.........

Thanks Steve and all of you that has helped me with this. I will check and see if I can see the size. The liner is falling out.
This was a farm auction, so I think they may have been in the barn. You never know. All I told him to do is buy them. Good luck on my part.
