Article about: Hi all, I decided to purchase a luft helmet and chose a double decal classic, this has the early pattern eagle and the maker is Quist size 64 with a very early lot number of 247. the band is

    Nice early DD mate, I would reckon maybe 1936/1937 manufacture. Quist is one of the best

    You'll find as you get more into collecting that historical value is not related to the condition of a piece. Real value is.
    The helmet's originality is what counts.Don't forget some of these have been stored in wet cellars and dry attics for the past +60 years , some were played with by kids and some were nicely stored in a desk and survived as if the war just ended.
