    Hello,
    That's a nice Stahlhelm, congrats and thanks for showing it...
    My first german helmet was a rusty M42 shell....
    I think that the batch number starts with a "5".
    Is there something hand written on the right side of the shell..?
    I don't know if it's because of my imagination, but i can read "MINE" on the shell...

    Yes, it does look like "MINE" Not sure when that was written on there. Maybe the mark of kid post war playing war in the back yard. Who knows!
