Just browsing some old topics , interesting discussion about this decal.
I used to think that when it's not silver it's a KM , however several years later with more experience under my belt and after talking with some veteran collectors there's more to say about the subject.
First of all I don't believe a KM decal of this type was ever made. So for me this is a toned Heer.
I also believe there are only two acceptable decals for KM. The ET style and the thin winged decal. No BF's KM , Pocher etc ...
Don't forget that the KM is a smaller branch than the SS , these helmets are rare beasts.
So far I have never seen an NS KM helmet.
And those decals can really tone and confuse people. Here's a thin winged Heer eagle. If it wasn't for the lack of toning on the right wing I'd thought it was a KM.
Unfortunately a lot of dealers make KM's out of toned Heers

Hi Schwerpunkt, Welcome to the forum. I agree with your thoughts on this lid. Rgds, Mike
hi,
that is one nice helmet and belt, Great condition.
Well done.
dave.
Decals can sometimes turn very goldish and I also don't think it's the only feature to conclude it's a KM . Decal is a Pocher and like schwerpunkt said it's not clearly known yet if this maker ever made KM decals
