Picked this up today its a m35 se64 lot number 4270.
It has a brushed feild paint job.
it has a leather tab affixed to the metal band with iron loop for carrying.
Ive never seen this before and also has franz painted on the inside.

Hi Kiwipete,thats a great looking re-paint M35,can you see the shadow of the national shield under the over paint? The liner and chinstrap look good too and the carry loop is a nice(and rare)extra,it certainly looks contempory to the helmet!! The only thing I am not sure of is the naming,the "rounded"ends to the individual letters make them look as though they were applied with a paint pen and not a brush?? A very nice find all in all, Leon.
I agree with Leon, a good looking reissue. The name I think could have been painted with a soft rounded sable brush, that would give the same effect on the lettering I think.
Haven't seen this sort of carry strap before........ Is it a modified D loop retrofitted in the field?
