MY new officers helmet, top notch I think

Article about: This helmet was posted on here several years ago by my friend who turned me onto this forum. I just got this 1 hour ago from his family . So since it's new to me I wanted to share to whoever

    A helmet with History! Nicely found! I like the crinkle finish too-a very uncommon piece to find!

    So he got his rank in 1937 and what do you mean his last listed command Kdr. Wehrbz. M. Gladbach ? so he just like disappeared ?

    thank you... Yes I never seen a texture finish wrinkled like that. I should take better pictures in the sun light

    Remember the information came from the 1944/1945 Dienstalterliste. I know there is no addition for 1945/1946

    To explain the listing I posted, Wehrbezirks-Kommando is a part of the recruiting system in a military district. Gladbach is the city in which it was located.

    ok now I understand, it makes sense. so basically there is no way on finding anything else about him. Lost to history I suppose!

    Not necessarily. You can employ a professional researcher such as Westmorland Research
    Westmoreland Research
    They will search through the National Archives in Washington and forward you his dossier if found. The fee is based on what is found and only if something located.
