my strange painted M42

I boucht this one yesterday
but it is a strange coulor (overpainted )there are even some white spots left
found in east germany together with gas mask

whats the inside like allso round the other side as well ?????

cant make out whether the colour is from the paint or the rust but its a very nice looking relic lid nice one mate

i see there is some white appearing and green
also maybe there is a decal onder
there are some strange places on top of the helm and inside on the same spot

very nice i like the fact its still has some liner ring remains hope your not tempted to try & restore it as it looks good just as it is

What is this , additional air vents on the top?

Interesting lid mate , looks like it may have been up side down with something liquid pooling in the bottom for some time , cheers Raymond

its heat damage, its either been on something hot, or had something hot in it

i have seen it in a book german helmets of ww 2 any one can tel me more about the camo it is original and not rust
