    I just learned a little bit of the back story about this helmet.

    The man who dropped it off at our recycling facility originally bought it from an antique store in the 60s to use as a motorcycle helmet. He wanted to repaint it, but never got around to it. He then got out of the motorcycle hobby and the helmet sat in his closet for years.

    This helmet really dodged a bullet... twice! Being ground up by our recycling machines AND being repainted/ used as a motorcycle helmet!
