Named double decal helmet found in garbage!

HELLO ALL!

I am literally still shaking from finding this... SO EXCITED! My family owns a recycling center. This helmet literally JUST CAME IN.

The brim of the helmet has been rolled and it has the heft of my M35... so I'm assuming it's an M35 but I could be wrong... it's also SMALL!

It has apple green paint poking through from under field gray paint. The dome has some rust as well.

It has an exposed heer decal (?) on the left side, and a trace of another decal (national tricolor?)on the other side.

Inside the helmet the liner is a little dusty, but overall the leather of the liner and chinstrap are supple and in good shape. There is also a bit of the liner string left. The inside of the helmet smells like my grandma's attic.

The name "Kittel"? is painted on the rear skirt of the helmet in red paint.

The few things that make me nervous about this helmet are the fact that I can't see any stampings, and I've never seen this style of chin strap.

SO! I come to you, the experts at the WarRelics forum. Is this helmet real?!? Also... considering how I got it (not that I'd ever part with it...)... how much is it worth? Even if it ends up being fake, I AM THRILLED! THIS IS THE BEST FIND SO FAR IN MY SHORT TIME AS A COLLECTOR!
