Need help to identify this helmet.

Article about: Being a total newbie, this "German" shaped helmet appears to be an M40. The air vent is pressed and the helmet edges are rolled over. It has 2 extra rivets. Five rivets in total an

    Thanks for all the help.
    I can't see any markings unless they are under the paint.
    I believe it is German made, but post WW2 and two extra rivet holes
    were drilled by the Fins.
    Dave, thanks for the info on the vent holes. Handy to know.
    It can sit on the shelf with an American M1 (Vietnam era ) helmet.
