Probably a bit high but you never know, that variation might go for a premium for collectors of BGS. You are still entitled to a partial refund at least though, as it is not what you bought it as.

That's how I look at it, as well. I'm hoping to negotiate a discount on an Eastern Front Medal that he has, but now I'm slightly put off and want to do extensive research before making another purchase from this seller.

If this is a fine example of an original BGS helmet then I'd like to keep it and get a partial refund. Of course I'd like to remove the fake emblems on each side..
I agree with the advice given - take it back for a refund, for if
you decide to keep it, or cannot return it, the newer paint
scheme will have to go as well. If you remove only the
decals, you'll be left with 'holes' where the
emblems were.........

Try warm soapy water to remove the decals..

I'll be trying that out in the very near future.

Would this helmet have been painted the same color as other BGS helmets of the time? If so, where might one procure a replica paint? I'd like to keep this helmet as original as possible, despite having to repaint it.
