Need opinion om M35 Heer helmet!

helmet is good,,,decal looks to have been scrubbed,then brush painted and post war painted emblems,,,

this helmet is an ostbattalion helmet. very rare. note the cyrillic writing on the inside.

my eyes must be getting bad,,,i noticed the lettering,but looks arabic style to me,not cyrillic,,,what is this worth,if authentic,?...

the writing is cyrillic. these helmets belonged to members of the ostbattalions, which were formed when the germans used russian (prisioners, volunteers?) in their own wehrmacht. i know that there were a few of them in normandy but im not sure where else.

what would the value of one like this be?..certain to be big bucks if authentic,,

i think the leather is from a luftschutshelmet (if org). because it count 9 fingers in stead off 8. looking at the rivets you can see that this liner is placed later on. liner itself looks oke.
The complete chinstraps looks not good to me. is not heeres

Yes, the liner probably changed, for me that's ok, chinstrap is original but looks strange (not saw before), writing is cyrillic. What price can be for that helmet in such condition?

i cant advise you on the price exactly, but the liner is fine. some had 8 fingers, some had 9 because they were larger helmets and therefore needed more leather.
