New Arrival- Tri Camo lid in a semi relic condition.

Hello all,

Here is the new lid that just came in. I believe it to be an M40 NS66 Lotnr 5902. Has remnants of a heer decalthat had been overpainted with the tri colour camo scheme. Surface isnt in the best of condition but it least its all consistent inside and out. Liner shows signs of cleaning but the pins are tight with washers and carry the same paint as the outside. Colours are more vivid in had than in the pics

Pretty happy with it and got it for an absolute steel!

Nice lid, but strange rust build up, wondering if it was painted when damp or wet, or possibly the effect is from wet saw dust being mixed in with the paint, dont know how they cleaned the liner up like that , it should be nearly falling apart judging by the internal rust around the steel liner ring, but who knows, some leather lasts better than others

Yeah I was thinking there was some moisture around when painted but hadnt thought about wet swadust. When I pulled it out of the box the liner was quite dusty and you can see lines like it has been sanded lightly but its in great nick. The liner band isnt to rusty, seems more discoloured hence the cleaning with something theory.
