    Default New Luft helmet

Hi everyone, got this helmet a few days ago, very pleased with it. It was described by the seller as being transitional between M35 and M40, it has the separate rivet air vent and is of the heavier M40 build. I can just make out the date on the liner band as 1940 (I have not of course removed the liner). Any comments appreciated. Doug

Good helmet, but it looks like a straight out m35 to me. Maybe I need to study my helmet a little more. I just never heard of that type of helmet before.

Fair enough, thanks for that. I was under the impression m35's had a lighter build, this weighs the same as my m40's. Any other comments would be welcome.

    It's an M35 , what's the lotnumber ?
The liner band is the later/last type of aluminium ones with the rounded D rings.
Although Quist kept using these till 1943 but most are 1940 stamped.

A nice complete Lufty M35, in good order. Well done. Leon.
