New m-40

This is my latest find, a factory reissued m40 Q64, what do you guys think of the name on the liner? it look like russian to me.

Could have been one of the Ostruppen that surrendered en masse in the days following D-Day. Seen one before similar, interesting helmet congrats!

I do not think it is a reissue. Quist made mdl 40's till late 44.

The name is "Popov"

Steve is right, this is not a reissue. Quist continued to make M40's even after the change to M42's. They did, however, comply with the "no more decals" order.
