Re: New piece for 20 bucks :-)))
the neck guard looks way too long. im not sure why, because the shell seems original otherwise save maybe the paint.

Re: New piece for 20 bucks :-)))
if your friend finds out what's worth,,,he may not be your friend much longer,,,but a good score nonetheless...

Re: New piece for 20 bucks :-)))
Yes, for 20.00 , that was one great deal for you, dont tell your friend what its worth, or like someone else said, he might NOT be your friend anymore, or want more money.
A very nice helmet.

Re: New piece for 20 bucks :-)))
My friend is OK..He is not interested in militaria and have no problem with money..he has some more pieces like this one in his cellar...I must ask him do get some more :-)
I am sure that the paint is a postwar, but what about the other parts - leather, spikes...??? In our country (Czech) were many WH helmets worn for several years after the war by firemen and units of civil defense..So I need to identify what is german or like german and what was changed after the war..(instead of paint)..And don´t you know what could be the ''official'' price of this piece? 100 bucks? (But this helmet is not for sale.)
