It was more than likely a Heer decal.
Thank you sir. I did a search today after reading your reply on Heer decals but found none with that
amount of silver. The closest I found was the SS decal. I'm sure you guys would have noted that so
I figure there must be a bunch of Heer decals I didn't see. Any chance of seeing one to compare?
Thanks again,
Rudy
M42 single decal camo helmet, any ideas where this was from could give us a clue as to what units were in the area, but im not sure its a SS decal, any chance of showing interior and other details of helmet, ie lotnr etc
Here is my first thread that has pictures of the liner and some info ObKrieger helped me with.
I'm afraid I have no way of finding the twin brothers that brought a lot of my stuff home. Most
was originally given to my father so he would purchase more glass from them. They were sales men.
Thank you,
Rudy
If you look closely at the decal, you can see the outline on the eagles head and beak, as well as the eagle's right wing. I'm not sure if the wear matches that of a Kriegsmarine decal, but I am fairly confident that it was a Heer decal. Here are your chances in my opinion:
SS= .0001%
Luftwaffe= 0%
KM= 2%
Heer= 97.5%
Other= Whatever amount is left.
Also, take into account that it is a camo helmet, so if it were KM it would have to be a coastal artillery or infantry helmet, so that narrows down your chances of it being KM even more.

Mo
Thanks Bro ... Er Mo. So a M42 Heer single decal camo lid it shall be.
FWIW, I didn't care if it was SS or not it's just that my old eyes only saw the color. I'm good with Heer.
I'm going to try again to track down the owner. No luck so far.
Thanks again,
Rudy
