New Police lid

Since everybodys on the subject of police lids heres my recent purchace, tried to find others like it on line but could'nt, is this more rare than others or am i just looking in the wrong places?

It is an M40 beaded luftschutz combat police helmet, and a nice example. The bead was put in the helmet at the factory when the helmet failed ballistics tests. When helmets failed quality control testing, rather than melt down the reject helmets, they were put in a jig and the bead was crimped into the piece so that these helmets couldn't be mistaken for combat worthy helmets. They were fitted with many different styles of civil liners. Beaded helmets were issued to rear echelon troops such as luftschutz personnel, factory guards, etc. Late in the War, some Volksturm troops were issued beaded helmets as well. I like these helmets alot. Jim G.
