Ive got to admit that when i first saw the decal i didnt think it was a true application error, its a post war error and i would think more recent than aged, you can accept a relatively small error, either a crease or a small slip but this one is pretty big and i would think if done in period it would have been corrected much better, sorry Chris, the helmets nice but is spoilt with the fake decal
I had a gut feeling that the error was just too big to have been acceptable by German standards and very off center.

Hello All
Well I learnt something new today! The acorns are such an easy thing to overlook. I was looking more at the wings &
the lettering font. Now that the acorns have been pointed out, the difference is glaringly obvious.

Always good to learn something new ,I had to check my Luftschutzs helmets to make sure I did not have any fakes ( I am good.)

that one looks OK mate, not often seen in green on an M34

The font looks ok, acorns and dot lines look ok, the background colour looks ok on the swas, i think its a good possible Chris

I agree the green one are not seen very often I think Austrian.
